Clinical Trials at Banner Alzheimer's Institute
At Banner Alzheimer's Institute (BAI), we believe that state-of-the-art care includes informing patients and families about clinical research opportunities and the different types of research studies available.
In addition to the international Alzheimer's Prevention Initiative being spearheaded by researchers at BAI, we have an average of 30 clinical trials being conducted at any given time. These range from treatment studies that include the use of investigational drugs to research studies that leverage our brain imaging expertise to help better understand the aging process and the impact Alzheimer's and other memory disorders have on the brain. Clinical trials at BAI are conducted in accordance with all federal study regulations outlined by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and/or the Office for Human Research Protections.
We are providing access to tomorrow's treatments today and giving hope to those affected by Alzheimer's. In order to do this, we need the continued support and involvement of individuals with Alzheimer's, those at risk for the disease and other forms of dementia and families willing to participate in the research process.
