Where
Musical Instrument Museum, 4725 E. Mayo Blvd., Phoenix, AZ 85050
Time
10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
It has often been said that “one will never win an argument with a person with dementia.” Yet as frustrating as that may be, most caregivers will continue to try to convince, coerce, reason and explain with a person who has lost their ability to fully understand. New techniques and styles of communication must be learned to avoid upset for both the caregiver and person with dementia. This session will provide caregivers with a variety of strategies to avoid arguments and improve cooperation. An interactive forum will be provided for the BAI team of experts to help caregivers problem-solve their most frustrating situations!
