Coping with Grief During the Holidays – VIRTUAL
The holidays are often difficult for grieving families. Be kind and gentle with yourself-and join us to develop strategies for effectively moving through a challenging season. When a loved one dies, we are swept away by loss. We can feel engulfed by sadness, loneliness and heartbreak-afraid to face the holidays ahead. Our lives are forever changed, and often we can’t imagine how to go on. These feelings of overwhelming sorrow can be magnified during the holiday season.
Hospice of the Valley and Banner Sun Health Research Institute are offering a Skype online presentation to help you cultivate strength and cope with challenges you never imagined. Participants will learn to recognize the uniqueness of grief during the holidays, identify some helpful coping mechanisms for grief, and learn supportive ways to help both you and loved ones uniquely navigate the journey of loss during this special holiday season. This presentation is accessible from the comfort of your home or office and is designed to support any adult in the community who is grieving. You don’t need to face this difficult time alone. We are here for you.
